Gorgeous big smooth waves today! Tropical Storm Beta surf arriving. Going outbound was mostly powered, but some holes that weren't even a problem because the waves felt gentle, despite being head high. Current didn't feel strong and pointing was easy. Big long wave rides inbound that you could ride either direction. Only drawback was the beach was a complete madhouse. I was shocked to see so many people traveling to the beach with a tropical storm offshore and a pandemic. The water was even a madhouse, which I'm not used to, although I am glad to see the stoke. Every surf sport was happening, including unfortunately surf casting - I got hooked. Luckily just a surface wound. When I first pulled on the hook I was worried it was deep.
