Horrible wind direction. Straight offshore from the boat ramp. I met a new to me guy named Steve, who was dropping names from HI. Kind of like Josh, only older guys, sailing Kanaha instead of Hookipa. He had a 100 liter Phil McGain slalom board and 90s NX race sail. He wanted to talk shop while I was rigging, and I wanted to get on the water and social distance. I finally told him to get out on the water, life is short. I was impressed he could get planing in the light winds. I had a few nice flights. Holes were the real deal. Beautiful 70s temperature and sunny. I will try again tomorrow, it will just suck that there will be more boat wake and humanity because of the weekend. |
