I feel pretty in my comfort zone cruising now. I've figured out pointing, and now pumping is also making sense. I've balanced out my hand positions much more by getting further back, although there's still plenty of room for improvement. I also figured out a way to carry everything at once! That's huge for morale. And luckily Juan took a picture as I picked it up, because otherwise I would have forgotten how I did it. I'm loving the bay for learning.

I actually felt more inept on the foil today than last time. Last time I was low flying a lot and then practicing short elevations a bit higher and bringing it down. Today I was barely getting up and then losing control of the plane when I did. I know it's because it was marginal wind, so finesse mattered more and I don't have that yet. Another development - I'm blowing a lot of my tacks. I was better as a complete beginner than now. I think this is because I'm further back in a power position on the sail now, then I'm not properly doing the handwork to cross over. Plus I'm riding longer stretches and it's tiring me out, which makes me sloppy.
