Perfect timing for once, with the front coming in on a weekend morning. Unfortunately, the point at Windy Point was closed, which is not good when El Norte is in town. A frantic call to Lloyd paid off with a ticket to sail from Paulo's house. Once at Paulo's, it was apparent that the Chris and Mark's homeowner's park would be better suited to the day's conditions, so onward to the third and final launching site. Started with the 5.8 and the 104 liter, and later switched to the 5.2 and the 82 liter. After getting pounded with a sustained 30 mph, rigged a 4.4, which caused the wind to back off a bit. Tried it anyway with the 72 liter board, which only worked 50% of the time. Sailed the 5.2 the rest of the day, and Laura took the 4.4. Made some sloppy ducks and 2 out of 5 push tacks. Not too bad when your MO is to not fall in because it's cold. The point is closed because the "causeway" to it has water on it because they're not letting any water out of Lake Travis: http://www.ci.austin.tx.us/news/2004/hydrilla_lakeaustin04.htm
