The day started off slow, but the wind got better. I desperately needed a bumpy session fix, and I got it. Tried two willy skippers intentionally for the first time, didn't make them. Tried many vulcans, one intentionally right in Mike's view, which made him scream and laugh uncontrollably. He says (and I paraphrase) that it looked like an evil cross-breed between a vulcan and an aborted forward loop ATTEMPT. In any case, it inspired him to attempt a forward in front of me a few minutes later, but he forgot to take the board with him. Very fun day. Monkey ducks, planing push tacks. Julie is now a hard-core bay sailor, and the French contingent put on a good show. Marc (and Mike) in action: http://www.lattitudepics.com/pictures/SPI_Jan2005/index.asp PSB: Full Sail Rip Curl Draft at Padre Pizzeria. If you go there, kindly suggest to them to start serving their beer in pint glasses instead of root beer mugs.
