Sailed at Bird Island, TX
Wind from the SE (mph)
        Average: 20
Rated a 10 of 10

Board: Starboard Trance 94l
Sail: North 5.8 Triple X

Started the day at sunrise at JP Luby's. Only Mike sailed (shlogged) in the marginal winds. Bought a couple of closeout surfboards at Pat Magees. Later, at Bird... ...Waterstarted out of several upwind 360's! Thanks to a tip from Mike, I finally got the board to do it's thing on this move. It's a previously unknown sensation not experienced in any other move. Completed the 2nd and 3rd downwind 360's of my life, although I was stuck in the backwinded position for an eternity on both. Mike, Alissa, and I each tried Mike's sugggested move of the day, of which we are unsure of the name. Jibe with both feet in the straps, sail away planing with your back to the sail and both feet still in the original strap position. Very limited success. The main callus on my right hand gave way to a torn blister. Haven't had that happen in years. Not sure why it happened today. PSB: Coopers Pale Ale PSG: Padre Pizza (Arghh! They ditched the Rip Curl tap! They said it wasn't selling! They replaced it with New Belgium 1554! Arghh! Please go tell them you want Rip Curl back, or else the slow, painful death of Rip Curl on tap in Corpus and Austin will now be complete!)
