50 6 hours, 5 fins, 4 boards, 3 sails, 2 trips to the "drill heads," 1 tired windsurfer. I figured I should get out some bigger gear and see what works together in case there is light wind for the racing this weekend. Good thing b/c lots of combos weren't working well. During my stint on the 7.5 I was nicely invited to join the informal formula race...of course I did not have their speed or pointing but I made it as far as the drilling stuff and back twice. I found a big soft spot in the seatrend board at that point. The guys were meanwhile doing circuits of the entire bay. Ended the day with some freestyle on the normal gear (so comfortable in comparison) and Olivier and Alex came out. It was fun watching them do light wind WSes and I tried just a few geckos and got my best attempt yet. Several out of town people, some that I'd met before and some not, and it was a fun group. I hope it's just windy for the racing and I can use normal wave gear.
