72 Launched from Baxter Ave. I had been wanting to try this launch but was not confident until this year because there are some obstacles and you have to be able to go upwind and downwind. There is a nice spot to rig in the grass. F was there, and the plan was do flat water freestyle by the shore, but we ended up sailing to egg island to get out of the wind shadow. Dave was there too. We stayed in the waist deep part between the egg and great island but I could have used a weed fin--lots of eel grass. I worked on the upwind 360, then tried some duck tacks, mostly because I was getting frustrated with my narrow board and sore shins and wanted stuff to do in the straps. Also ripped my new sail doing something totally stupid (although not as stupid as getting a monofilm sail in the first place), but I am determined to fix it with tape. The tack back took me 1/2 hour. Total TOW 3 hours. rigging area photo http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k154/corgnilias/gearpicture.jpg
