Duck Tack Fest #3. Breakthrough day. Picked the perfect kit for today, since I was able to repeatedly (maybe 40%) complete u-float-em type duck tacks. All from starboard tack at first. I knew I was doing something wrong and different on the port attempts with my retarded left hand, so I tried real hard-like to analyze it. Turns out I wasn't doing anything at all with my left hand, which was the problem. I was throwing the rig with my right (back) hand instead of crossing over to the back of the boom to throw it. On the next port attempt, I got it, but it was difficult to repeat after that. Lots of the failed DT floaters ended up being successful switch stance duck boomerangs instead, which ain't so bad. Did no handed back to backwinded I think for the first time, using the calf to sheet in and out with the gusts...the method that Mr B once talked about.
