Took John's Go because I wanted to feel invincible, but mostly I didn't want to fall in the 54 degree water. Had a difficult time with the duck tacks at first, then realized I needed to be sheeting in more and be more twisted up and looking in the direction that I want to go before the sail transition. Then I started making them. First ones on Lake Travis! Tried an in the straps carving 360 on the Go after seeing Mike try one. Didn't go too well. Not sure the Go board is designed with that move in mind. Mike made a day trip from Houston to sail at the number one best and windiest spot in Texas today! Saw him commemorate it with a decent start at flaka attempts. No doubt he'll be completing them by this fall. Mike and I practiced the Ponch on the beach afterwards. Seems easy enough.
