48 What is this foreign place? Clear water, clean sand, blue sky, and freestyle...luckily home never gets old to me. Loved my first day at Chapin, and actually my first ever north side sesh. Water was Caribbean-clear blue, as I could see my board shadow clearly along the white bottom. Temp was not Caribbean-like, mid 60s, but with the sun I surprisingly did not get the least bit cold. The waves were not nearly what I'd hoped (the fall day I watched here they were BIG, but today topped out at waist high). This beach has a 9-10 foot tide, fun because the conditions are constantly changing. When I started it was over my head, and by the time I left that area was high and dry for at least a quarter mile out. I took this picture leaving toward Mayflower, and the water had been against the jetty when I arrived. http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k154/corgnilias/chapinroad.jpg If anyone actually reads this and tries that link, I think it may only work if you cut and paste it into a browser. or maybe my computer is just messed up. I heard yesterday was better but I got stuck with a dead car battery (luckily at home). guess sitting unused through the new england winter was not good for it.
