PLANING 90% OF TIME, MOSTLY WITH SPEED AND THE TACK WAS WITH A MORE ESE WIND RIGHT ALONG THE SANDBAR GOING SOUTH FOREVER. THE GUST ALONG THE LAUNCH BEACH JUST WASN'T WORKING TOO GREAT FOR FULLY THE USUAL POWERED JIBES. MADE 1/2 DOZEN TRIPS TO THE INSIDE OF ISLAND #3, SOME GOOD CHOP AND FAIRLY STEADY WIND. IT WAS DIFFICULT TO RIDE THE SANDBAR GOING NORTH WITH MORE LULLS AND LESS POWER THAN GOING SOUTH. NO SIGN OF THE SUBMERGED PILING. MOST CROWDED DAY FOR A LONG WHILE WITH ABOUT 50 SAILS ON THE WATER. DON KRIER GOT SLAMMED WHEN HE HIT SOME KITE LINES IN THE WATER DOWNWIND OF THE KITER. IT STOPPED HIM LIKE A SANDBAR. OVERALL GOOD DAY JUST EXPECTED MORE.
