65 It would have been dawn patrol in many other places or times of year, but seeing as it started getting light at around 4:15, my 6 a.m. arrival felt downright leisurely. Still plenty of wind, and I really should have rigged the 4.7, but I was going off-cape with kw later that morning and was in "I'm not going to mess around" mode. It wouldnt be a trip to WD without cruising the swells at the rock pile, so I did that. Did an upwinder to yarmouth. Explored possible launch site at the boat ramp there but decided that success would depend on the tide flow/direction of bass river. I could see getting sucked in instead of out. Some lobstermen have gotten overzealous with their buoy placement. I can understand putting them around the rock pile or using the little ones, but there were a couple of the big tall pole ones with the metal thing at the top right in the main drag. Anyway my back was pretty sore for some reason so I took it easy. Still an awesome day. Awesome night (manomet)too. Possibly, possibly Chapin later today?? but forecast looks marginal.
