73 This was the REAL conquor the coast--the harbor half marathon yesterday, and the washing machine that was Poenisch Park today (right Tamay?!). My legs had about had it before I even started! But I guess this uses different leg muscles, and I felt strong and hung in for an hour and a half. It wasn't pretty, but was my best day ever in high wind (which I consider 3.2 and smaller). I got fairly dialed in and actually started trying some stuff other than survival. Tried my first three port side BLs. One was even a decent and recognizable attempt. Made a tack (even that was a victory today). Made a bunch of DJs (really a non-event on a 2.5 but still fun). Got de-NIED at various times. Could not manage backwinding stuff. Finally ran totally out of energy. Struggling my gear out of the surf and back up the hill was the hardest part of the day. Got some mouthfulls of Poenisch water and will monitor to make sure I don't start growing any extra toes. For those without the pleasure of iwindsurf, I posted today's wind graph at this link: http://alissainman.com/poenisch_10-22-07.gif (don't click it, you have to cut and paste...Brian I know you told me how to make this work but I forget.) for those desiring the pleasure of iwindsurf, sign up through me and we'll both get a discount :)
