High expectations for high wind...but disappointing reality. The plan was to go old school and sail the bay. Ellie was motivated to chuck some forwards after watching the Peter Hart Learn to Loop DVD. (Great video. how could it not be if it got Ellie to want to start trying?) But, it wasn't all that windy. Geckos were challenging with this board with the mast track all the way back. Every time I fell in I found myself counting the bacteria, but only the Enterococci, not the Vibrio vulnificus. Tried that rig-only land exercise thing in the loopin video. Easy on starboard, but kept digging the mast into the ground on port, no matter what I tried to change. Used L's 4.7 afterwards on land to try matrices and B2B practice. still can't remember the b2b exits. especially trying to remember the infinite loop one where you need to end up clew first on the exit. Matrices with bare feet is more difficult/scary than with shoes on. Almost got all the way around on one. Tomorrow's another day, but weather.com just isn't showing it happening. Would've been a 4 if A and M were there. Lovely festive lit boat parade on condo canal afterwards. Didn't see any lit windsurfers though. Overheard today in the Lockhart Walmart: 1) The Hanukah Song and 2) "Hi! Is them returns?" PSB: NXNW PJ Pale Ale PSG: BJs w/Ellie "Never go with a hippy to a second location." - Jack Donaghy
