Woah! The waves were huge! At least in my book. Bigger than yesterday. At first I almost gave up and headed back to the middle area where there are no waves, but I stuck with it and had the time of my life. It was a bit tough because there wasn't as much power on the way out as yesterday for jumping, but the waves were so nicely spaced it was much easier to time a wave ride. It was awesome! I felt like I did some bottom turns, not aggressive style, but bottom turns non the less. It was such an incredible feeling. And it was fun negotiating who got to take the wave, I felt more in touch with other sailors. The fact that the wind was lighter I think gave me a bit more confidence around the waves. I'm so glad I didn't hightail it out of there before I got comfortable.
