I toyed with the idea of driving to CC and back for a few hours of sailing since I could not sail at all for the last 8 days (on call), but I was too fearful I might get skunked. So, I went to Windy Point. The day way pretty and the water felt great. I was depressed though by all the trash on the ground in the park. Windy Point is not the greatest sailing venue. It is a pretty public park and lake though. I have noticed it has become increasingly more popular with the general public in the past few years. Mainly with people that want to picnic, barbecue, and drink. Unfortunately, often these folks don't pick up after themselves. I just don't get littering. I don't get how someone can feel like it is someone else's responsibility to pick up THEIR trash. If it was their personal property would they not pick up after themselves?? So why is it ok to liter public land? OK, I vented. It was nice to sail my gear again, even if I just shlogged for a few hours.
