I did not expect this day, so it was a bonus. Not nearly as good as the day before (in terms of wave rideability and wind steadiness), but still, no complaints. I was stoked to be out there. I had good company, too :).

Q: What's the proper way to express support for the fact that someone is flying one or more confederate flags?

A: There are a number of options. You can roll down the pickup window and shout "Fly it high and fly it proud!" while driving by. You can offer the flag flyer a Lonestar. You can crank your Waylon Jennings tape a little louder. Or you can simply give a "Yee-HA." ...all of which happened to the guy parked behind us. Whoever said there's no culture here....
