124- At sunrise watched it build fast and blow hard from the house until about 9 then at the beach watched everyone rigging in the 3.7 to 4.5 range and blasting until noon. Finally thought the 4.7 slot was coming but rigged 4.2 and made half dozen round trips shore to shore, planing but not full power. Quickly it was obvious is was dropping too fast, came in and back out for a few runs on 5.8 again shore to shore. That didn't last and almost ready to give it up but hung around long enough for it to get steadier and made several more round trips to the KRS. Worked way up wind for an excursion upwind into boat ramp, back out the channel and upwind past the North cabins then downwind to the KRS and the launch. |
