Best cure for a hangover? A kickass day at North Beach with a small but great group, my favorite sail, beautiful weather, and cookies. I started out a little underpowered and ended a little over, so this turned out to be the perfect call (thanks to Pete for being wind dummy). It peaked exactly at 3, as forecast (go airnet! go airnet!)

I tried my first back loops and shove its in a while, and the ramps were not quite right but it was good to get the motion back anyway. Surprisingly what I worked on most was wave riding. I tried some backside stuff on starboard, which I did not do great at, and did have a couple nice ducks on waves on the inside. North Beach conditions are such a patchwork that it seems I can never get bored. There are short steep waves, long, shallow waves, breakers and rollers, chop, sandbars, and even a few flatter parts (i sound like forrest gump...."shrimp gumbo....". Then there's the tanker wake, which i didnt catch right :). So even if none of those particular conditions is stellar at any given moment, I'm completely entertained and it definitely makes me a better sailor. A definite 10! My only complaint is that I could not get that stupid part of the song out my my head from the night before "MY ANACONDA DONT WANT NONE UNLESS YOU GOT BUNS HUN" (and yes, it has to be shouted, just like that). But anyway, we dont have enough Sir MixALot in our lives, so it's all good.
