I love the board! The demo quickly turned into me deciding it was mine, it was meant to be, and I bought it from Trina. I have never had a "small" board or a pure wave board, and this is both, so it was a whole new experience. I started out with fairly low expectations because I had not read the greatest reviews of the jp radical wave over the years, but I was impressed. First of all, it's amazing just having a small board that's so much easier to control in high winds. Second, it turned and handled effortlessly. It felt like all I had to do was think about what I wanted to do, and the board was already doing it. I would go to jibe on a wave, and I would come out of the jibe on that exact wave I'd chosen (not the wave behind it)! Crazy! I'd slash a turn and not spin out, and bottom turns felt like autopilot. So yeah, this one has a lot of potential and I have a lot to learn and improve.

Brett finally showed up....in a pink bathrobe, shorts, and flip flops. Nothing else. That was a short-lived session, but i have to applaud the effort and the entertainment! I actually dressed right for a change this year, and i was toasty warm and happy the whole time until the end, when my hood/helmet combo started constricting my head to the point of nausea, and I decided to treat myself to a warm shower that turned out to be freezing! I was warmer windsurfing than in the "heated" shower. Post sesh went with B&L to check out the windsurfer-friendly PIBC, which was really good!
