Two days in a row....wow! That's been unusual this winter. This front was strange--arriving midday--so Jenn and I didn't head to Port A until after Rachel's ribbon cutting ceremony. We got on the water around 3:30 and sailed til dark. It did not start out especially promising. I was barely able to plane and had to work hard without much reward. But gradually the wind built and I really enjoyed myself. The waves were really small, but on the bright side it made me be especially conscious of picking good sets and appreciative when i did get a wave where i could work it for several turns. Due to the odd direction we were getting up close to the jetty, and soon the pelicans and dolphins joined me. There must have been a lot to eat for them! They were so close I could hear them breathing. I actually got to work on some LWF by the jetty, although I also keep forgetting I dont have an uphaul, so it's harder to be lazy. i need to find and reattach mine. I loaned it to someone a while ago and have not seen it since although I know it was given back. Water and air temps felt comfortable--I didnt need the hood and didnt get cold. Looks like this next front will be colder.
