005 - Interesting but frustrating day, wind 15-20 mph earlier than forecast all morning then bumped to 25-30 mph for a couple of hour, dropped almost completely then came back in the low 20's mph.  Finally realizing it was actually blowing and got about an hour of powered 4.7 then a little more trying to get the 5.8 to work......NOT....but of course it picked up after all rigged down and ended up giving it up.  First out was slow to island #1 but heavy power close to the sandbar between SI#1 & #2.  Stayed between the spoils for awhile then had a few good runs in to end at the North Point and a couple going back out.  The short 5.8 session was hardly planing but would have worked OK by the time it was packed away.  The week is looking pretty good for a few more warm and windy January days that just might be enouth to hit the 7.7 day January average.
