Best day in quite some time. I felt really dialed in, and the small sail/big board combo was great for freestyle. I actually made up a "new" move today (well i'm sure it's been done plenty, but i had just not seen it specifically listed). You jump one wave, turn in the air, and land coming down the next wave but still in the initial footstraps. . Probably 3/4 jump jibe and 1/4 vulcan, if you combined them. I only got one where i actually planned down the next wave w/o stalling. It's good practice for jjs b/c it makes me go higher, and also for vulcans b/c of staying in the footstraps--if i ever get on that track again. I also tried to work on some more aggressive wave stuff that I could practice here with fewer consequences than in the gulf. Hung out later in the parking lot w/jenn, the cole park sailors & new mexico visitors.
