It had been since April that I had a true planing day here in Texas. My last days were in PSC and in Hatteras in May. So, when I saw this was my only chance in the upcoming forecast, I decided to go for it.

It definitely payed off. Three hours of constant planing wind. Ahhh.

I spent most of that time, working on the vulcan. The inside of my feet are all blistered and raw from all my tries. I was getting the board around much better, and had more than a few slides. They were not good slides, and truthfully were just better out-the-backdoors. It was probably because of good speed and the Naish is a much smaller and lighter board. My head was throbbing from all the crashes. My eyes were burning from that water or is it the sunscreen? Again, totally worth it. I was way overdue.
