Spending the previous evening and a few beers with B,B, and L, my attitude improved. The heavy rental boom was allowing me to still be on the water, so I needed to be thankful my weekend was not ruined. I felt I might as well get after it and charge as hard as I can. The 6.9m2 started out good, but especially in the late afternoon, it started to get overpowering (@ 4p). I would have gone in and rigged my 6.2m2, but it requires a different size boom than I rented. Also, Worldwinds closes at 5pm, so, I decided to charge on. I was going to get in as many attempts in as I could. I sailed close to exhaustion.

Brian says I am barely getting the fin cleared and my rotation is violent (and now I can't get "Everything Zen" out of my head, why??- thanks Brian) . I know most of my crashes are. I feel I need speed to get the board all the way around and slide right now. I know I need to stick the nose more and not try to huck it. I wish I could see for myself what I look like. I had my best slide to date. I slid backwards 15-20 feet and fell in leeward still in the straps when I came to a stop. I am not trying any hand changes yet.

The kids are inspirational. I hope some of them make it.
