Super gusty day that kicked my a$$ early. LTTS showed a peak gust of 50mph while I was out on the water. I was getting gusts in the 40s with my hand wind meter. It was a challenge just getting my gear to water without having the wind smack Mike's beautiful board to the ground. I blew out my arms very quickly since my harness lines were not set right at first. I tried to seek refuge in the "return of the vulcanatorium", but it was still just survival mode in there too even though the water was flat due to the massive gusts.

DaKine Mitts rule! I fully expected to be done after 45 minutes due to painful hands, but amazingly they never got cold. My arms did eventually recover after the harness lines were set right, and I started feeling pretty good. Still overpowered, but I felt like I could go for a long time.

I missed my buds! It would have been great to have you guys out there with me. It definitely got lonely after a while. Keith was packing up when I got there, and a group were watching my carnage for amusement for a short while. Then later, I just saw my purpIe Fit sitting on the point by itself. I would have gone down a board size, but I was lazy and stuck it out. I would have stayed longer, but it is Christmas Eve, and the family was getting hungry and Jill needed some help.
