Venue 1 of 2:

Checked out SoPac, carefully negotiating the enormous lake that sat at the access road entrance. The beach looked undrivable (but likely wasn't) so I decided to check out Port A. Port A was lots of brown (what should be white) water and seemingly straight offshore, so we got 3 b tacos for $3 and took a break before heading to Girl. Sailed in the Girlish brownish red water (is it red tide? don't know, be it sure is disgusting) for an hour until our toes lost all feeling, then called it. The sun came out just as we were leaving, and Andy B showed up as well. Turns out we may be seeing more of him around here in the future?

Tried the new board and new fin (MFC Pro Freestyle 18") for the first time, but there were too many weeds and too much fear of falling into cold, disgusting water to properly get a sense of the setup.

Just one other guy out, a camper from Wisconsin trying the forwards.
