12th session in 2010
Sailed at Real Men Poo Standing Up Point, TX
Wind from the SE (mph)
Board: '07 JP Freestyle 100
Sail: '09 Reverb 5.2
Water Temperature: 52 F
Air Temperature: 60 F
Made the first 3 V's in rough water with this new sail. A good sign?
Some nasty holes in the middle of the session, but it really filled in nicely at the end.
Booties are a must since the lake is full of snow from the other day. 58 degree water is quite tolerable, 52 degrees is not.
I'd forgotten how nicely the ramps can line up directly in front of the point in a south wind when the lake is full. All we need is a more consistent day and it's Back Loopalooza 2010! There's also a startboard tack vulcatorium for Mark when the wind is SE like this. It's down wind of the boat ramp around the corner from the guy wearing shorts over his wet suit. I'm currently weighing the pros and cons of wearing a speedo over my wetsuit next time out. Pros: chicks dig speedos. Cons: none?
