Almost as good a day as you can expect this time of year. It felt really warm--around 60 degrees. Really low tide so even falling in pretty far out you could stand up. Only two things detracted--first, the waves were actually ramping down on the inside, rather than up, throughout the session. At the beginning I was getting really good bottom turns and by the end it was hard to ever find a wave to ride and impossible to launch off of one. But at the same time, the waves were ramping up on the outside. So the outside jibes became pretty awesome by the end of the session, but you could not ride that wave all the way in. It would fade away before reaching the inside. The other negative was that it was just me for lot of the time, until Olivier showed up later. So it was super quiet out there. But they were moving a tall oil platform very slowly through the channel (about 1/4 mile per hour or less), and a busload of convicts was cleaning the beach, so both of those things provided some visual entertainment. I still had a lot of fun sailing and loved the wave rides I got.
