Tried out my brand new shiny carbon mast base acquired at the swap. I didnt so much notice it sailing, but I noticed it rigging--much easier. I probably appreciated it while carrying my gear also. By the later afternoon Cole Park was as good as it gets--perfect swell setup. Earlier was fun too, though, and it was cool seeing Mike do a really clean inbound forward next to me. My day ended when a jellyfish owned my gear and I never was able to completely clear it off (was out without my suit and gloves) and there were tentacles wrapped everywhere, whether i was in or out of the water, and I was tired, and decided that would be a good time to quit. My car still smells like jellyfish.
