A good strong wind at Dougs today. I was not in the groove, so basically made nothing, but still had fun. I was thinking about how Dougs seems like the perfect place to attempt a low forward as you hit the chop straight on as you approach Oregon and then all of a sudden multiple forwards are being thrown around me. Weird. So windsurfing was great today, but my big adrenaline rush came as I was happily walking the dogs through the woods this morning near where I am staying. Kai started barking at the woods near the path and as I get closer something is coming out of the trees towards Kai. At first I thought it was going to be a cow, but it was a big black BEAR! I was at the most 15 feet away from it as it came on the path! I stopped in my tracks and something inside of me was saying walk away slowly, walk away slowly. As soon as I was out of it's vision I called Kai and then ran faster than I ever have in my life! Holy cow!! I was so freaked out and so thankful Kai, Bailey and I were okay. I will not be walking on that path again!
