85 It's good to be on the cape but it's damn cold. Sailed downwind with freestyle fred where we took advantage of the incoming tide and practiced over egg island. Had trouble getting used to borrowed gear that's bigger than I normally use. Highly gusty. That left arm is still bothering me a lot from over a week ago and I know the cold didn't help. Then, like an idiot I broke my cardinal rule of sub 60 degree sailing, which is never take a break. I was fine til I sat at Smith Point for about 10 minutes, after which my extremities became so numb I had trouble making my tacks on the upwind sail back to the mainland. Painful hands made it hard to even focus much less grip the boom. Should've worn the hood.
