I needed a day like this! My first two-hour nonstop sesh in recent memory. I sailed until my arms were burning and my jibes were sloppy, then sailed about another hour. We had that fragmented setup where you had to choose to ride by the parking or by the pier, but you couldn't do both on the same wave. By the end I was mostly at the pier and found it a forgiving day....on falls the current was pretty brisk, but I never had trouble getting up and never got too close to the pier.

I had my first ever collision in the waves due to what I realized was a difference in our of understanding right of way rules. (not that we were holding lines due to trying to enforce right of way, we just anticipated each other wrong, and schlogging outbound there wasn't much I could do to move anyway). I looked it up later and learned that I was right. Again not that I wouldn't avoid a crash no matter who was right or wrong, but it kind of scrambled my world to think that maybe I was understanding things wrong all these years. So yes, the world still does make sense to me. And everyone was ok. Happy day. I am so sore right now from all that sailing!
