This is disappointing to realize, but I need to finally concede that it's probably not worth it to sail S. Packery cold fronts on a work day. It just takes so much logistics, getting up really early, switching my schedule and making up the time...none of which I'd mind a bit, except that it's a total washing machine and not great riding. The sandbar lineup just isn't happening these days at S. Pack. Maybe I need to park even closer to the jetty?? (Maybe I'm still not willing to give up and will try parking closer next time : ) Overall Packery was big, and I did have fun, but it was so messy and all close-out waves til you got to the waaay outside. Basically a lot of unhooked effort and a lot of shore break pounding, even pushing you backward while upright, til you got through it.

I saw no man-o-wars in the water, very different from a week ago. Very comfortable water temp. Juan came out with me and it was great not having to worry about getting downwind because I would be picked up.
