018 - Forecast looked iffy, first run to the Horseshoe Spoil was marginal and the return even more marginal. Next run out was perfect tack through the no boat cut-off and into the north basin. Continued working upwind and after half dozen or so tacks ended up past all the IWC spoils with trees and started running along the drop-off. Only sailed in this area one other time, maybe was further north this time, able to see the high bridge and houses to the north and not the big tree and white dune to the south. Returned to finish with several runs that were now doable between the launch and spoils in the north basin, going out and back through the no boat cut-off. It was mostly consisistent planing, mid thigh water level and all solo. A few of those long shoreline runs made it all worthwhile.
