First of all I'd like to thank everyone who made this day possible; Gordon, whose call got me out there when I didn't think there was enough wind, my Fanatic 84 for pointing like nobody's business and planing in almost no wind, Phil for moving away temporarily but long enough to think he was quitting sailing and sell me that board, Matt for kiting outside the jetty in a way that I saw how much fun he was having and followed him and discovered that spot, and the waves for being so freaking awesome out there today. I have never done this before but sailing outside the ends of the jetties is awesome. Such bigger and well-formed waves. Breaking overhead out there today. Then at S. Packey it was down the line for a much as you could handle. Turn around, make sure I could point enough to clear the jetty, go back and do it again. There was good backside riding on this break on the N side and that's how I knew where to make my turn. Just a perfect session.
