16th session in 2016
Sailed at Hatchery, WA
Wind from the W (mph)
Board: '09 RRD Twin Tip 90
Sail: '12 Naish Boxer 4.0, '12 Naish Boxer 4.7
Whoops! The wind is not supposed to increase at the Hatchery this late in the day. It was reading 20 when we decided to give it a shot at 5:30. We intially rigged very big, and the wind just kept increasing and I was getting pounded so I had to switch to the 4.0. Oops, left the small boards at home.
Sailed past the time of the sun being behind the mountain. Not sure I've ever done that before.
Tried a bunch of those SB360's on the wave face that all the cool kids are doing. They are much more difficult than I expected them to be.
A younger version of me could have easily trunked it today. July and August could well be a full on trunk fest.
