Laura, Evan, Allisa, and I made the first tracks. Allisa's "freestyle density" is very high. That is, her frequency of moves is high. That's something I can work on. Wind picked up after a while and I went to the smaller gear. Tried the in-the-straps upwind 360's...not even close. Can't seem to get the nose through the wind when I'm in the straps. Probably losing too much speed. Tried push tacks, vulcans, and essex ducks, didn't make any. Move of the day (and likely move of the month) goes to Evan for his attempted forward. I caught sight of him, mid-air, tumbling without his kit, then landing on his rig. Looked like he missed the boom, and he said he was OK. Did not meet his attempt, I folded. Laura worked on ducks, jumps, and it looked to me like she tried a push tack, but she vehemently denies it and says she was just trying to get backwinded. Not a lot of swell, but I think this is about as good as it gets on the bay, and my too recent memory of the Gorge has left me spoiled and a bit of a swell snob, but I'll get over that, no problem. Looks like Bird was the place to be as far as wind. Oops, I left my black flip flops on the grass at the top of the hill in case anybody picked them up. The fire ants probably devoured them by now anyway. PSB: None.
