Excellent day! I arrived around 1pm to make sure I did not miss the peak. I brought my slalom gear, but driving past Flower Bluff, I could tell I might not use it. I went for the 6.3m2 Freek, and I was planing, but it was a bit tough to stay consistently upwind with the 18cm weed fin. It did build to a nice steady 19 mph average, but after a few hours, I needed to hydrate. As I rested, it seemed like the wind was backing off, and people were starting to come off the water. I contemplated rigging up the slalom gear for the last session, but I decided to go back out on the 6.3m2. After about one run, the wind kicked up to a steady 22- 25 mph! I was overpowered and ideally should have rigged down to the 5.9m2, but I just went with it. Super powered, super fun. I wanted to go for Vulcans past 5:15p, but this is the time when I tend to get hurt from being tired and reckless. Too many accidental hook ins, even some on my donkey jibes. I don't understand why I am so prone to this. Thus, I just enjoyed some very powered jibes, and called it a great day.
