Board: Angulo Triumph 81
Sail: 5.2 S2 Dragon '18
Suit: 4/3 steamer

Unexpected awesome session with chest-high smooth waves. I went with really no expectations other than to learn to rig my new sail on the beach, let the girls play, and go to pizza buffet afterward. But the wind held steadily, and I got some great rides. I don't think I have the Dragon tuned quite right yet. My mast seems not quite stiff enough, or maybe I didn't use enough downhaul. But even a little weirdly rigged, I really like it so far. It's noticeably lighter, even just carrying the bag. Water starting is easier. It handles crisply, like I like. And it has a great view. I'd been missing out on being able to see through my sail, and I'd developed this habit of oversheeting and moving the mast to look around the back of the sail to figure out when to turn down the line. This sail has a really clear and well-placed window for seeing the wave, so I just keep sailing.
