Drove down Friday night in hopes of catching the north wind in the morning. Pricelined the roach motel (La Quinta.) Don't think we'll be sleeping with the roaches again there. Pricelined a better hotel the second night...amazing how cheap they are in the off season. Stopped @ BH pier on the way to see the conditions. Huge waves, side-off wind, a rarity for Corpus, but the wind was not strong enough. Laura and I both believe that jumping from the pier to enter the surf is in our future. Too much fun to pass on that one. We'll just have to wait until the next tropical storm that misses Texas on a weekend. The wind was light in the morning, then decent. Laura did lots of backwinded sailing. Spurned on by Alissa, I tried lots of essex's, didn't make any. Tried lots of push tacks, made a few. Still can't figure out how to do cfsb360's, although Alissa tried to show me, which was very nice of her. My normal sb3's were stinky. Had to give up the 5.8 to Laura because she wanted more umph, so we picked up a used 5.5 from Don. Had a Larry David moment afterwards, the details of which I'd like to soon forget. http://www.hbo.com/larrydavid/?ntrack_para1=leftnav_category0_show10 PSB: Real Ale Full Moon Rye Ale PSGrub: Vietnam Restaurant My Theory: When Sammy Davis Jr. died, he took over David Cassidy's body, and now as David Cassidy ages, SDJ's physical traits are starting to appear. It's just a theory at this point. I'm still waiting on the research grant for this one. http://www.vh1.com/sitewide/flipbooks/img/shows/in_search_of_partridgefamily/cassidy.jpg http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/in_search_of_the_partridge_family/81651/episode.jhtml
