I just saw the wind graph. Apparently, it was fairly steady. I got there early @ 11 when there were few people on the water. I started on the foil. Last week, I switched the fuse so I could try position C for the 84 Fatboy. It was suggested in a online video by Wyatt. I found it was very easy to get going and ride high. The problem, was when the gusts hit 20mph, since you are already riding high, it was exhausting throwing the rig forward to try keep from over foiling. I will likely put it back on position B. An hour on the foil felt like 3 hours of windsurfing. I took a short lunch break and switched back to freestyle. The wind was just enough for me to plane. The Severne mast also works well in my Echo. I was feeling pretty good about my planing threshold until Mike arrived. The wind was too light for me on the inside near Worldwinds to stay there, especially staying upwind. I was doing much better on the outside. I felt there might have been a slight 30 minute bump in the wind @3:30p, but I guess not.
