Nice, down-the-line waves in well-defined, head-high sets. Gusting into the 40s here and there, with water blowing over the jetties. I got one amazing ride all the way to the pier, some ok rides here and there, but for probably half the runs I was too overpowered to take full advantage, especially with my smallest sail still broken. Still well worth the trip. This was also my first time in a couple years wearing a functional wetsuit! I'd been wearing a triathlon wetsuit full of holes. My new O'Neill is so much warmer and easier to get on. It felt like cozy pajamas. Also first time in my booties (Roxy size 8, so I can look this up years later when I need to replace them.) Those also felt great without the holes I'm used to.
