Happy New Year!

This is just my personal statistical analysis and summary of my windsurfing year for me to reflect on later. I have found it helpful to look back at past year end summaries to gain some perspective on how the wind was for that year and where my sailing is now relative to the past.

2019 was a tough year. Only 37 sessions, the lowest number since 2007. The majority sailed at the coast, but a slight increase in the percent of lake sessions (the Slingshot was likely responsible for the increase in lake sessions). No wavesailing this year. 27% sessions were in high wind. No new moves. Only one trip this year, to NC. The most challenging part of the year was dealing with intermittent chronic back pain. This makes the long drives to the coast more difficult. I am hoping this ends in 2020. I am not loyal to the foil, but I do enjoy it as a fun non-planing windsurfing option. Once the wind is planing I definitely prefer to windsurf. We will see if the new X-factor (Foil -X) will add a few more lightwind local sessions.

More peace and more love for each other. I wish everyone a healthy and happy 2020.
