Snow globe conditions on the beach (but with sand) and over head waves on the outside. On one of the last runs I caught that one crazy wave I’ll daydream about for a while. I banked a big turn and it just kept peeling and peeling behind me as I bombed down the line. With a big imagination leap it felt like one of those wave movies. I asked Mark later what I should have done, because I was just riding down the line on one rail a little high on the wave, fast and on the edge of control. He said to try going straight down and doing a big bottom turn. Duh, I guess, but I did not have the presence of mind at the time to realize if I had wiggle room to play some more. I still can't answer that. But stuff to think about and rehearse in my head when there's another big day. Goodbye to the ultra low tide of a few days ago; the beach was starting to flood and I had to move my car as a river formed.
