Much better wind than Saturday. Hadn't tried body drags in a long while, so thought I'd give it a go. First 2 were successful, next 3 unsuccessful. I made my first essex, thanks to a helpful tip from A. Got the closest I've ever been to completing a 360, but biffed it at the end. UK Mike says I was done, and that all I had to do is unback the sail and go. Problem is, I get so dizzy and disoriented that I don't know which way is up at the end of the move. Laura made her first duck jibe, and then made so many more that she lost count. Bill and Meg Jones rounded up a Bird posse consisting of Evan, Alissa, UK Mike, Hans, Laura and me ( http://www.editavenue.com/writingtip.asp?cid=1439 ) and headed on over to Bob Hall Pier. Thanks to Bill, Meg and Olivier for gently nudging us across the island. Weekend windsurfing mini-vacation gear damage tally: Broken boom, broken sail top, undone footstrap. All of which occurred at Bird, not BHP.
