We were the fastest growing COVID-19 county of over 100,000 residents in the US this week, and people actually seem to be buckling down a little more, because traffic to and from the beach was light and the beach itself was much more water-sports-centric than the usual summer weekend free-for-all. Waves were over head and I was excited, but sailing turned out...rough. I rigged, the wind spiked, rerigged smaller, then just sailed sorta sloppy and never felt quite tuned in. I redid my outhaul while floating. Fin felt loose but it wasn't. I had a few solid wave rides but also a dreaded Packery sleighride. I feel exhausted now.
