I reached my 1,000th session! This says 1001, but technically one of my sessions is a joke so this is it.

Foiling is happening more. Now that I'm flying more I'm discovering that much of steering happens with the hands. This brought me full circle, back to high school and collegiate sailing where the coach would take our rudders and we'd have to learn to steer with the sails. I'm still treading a weird line of being uneasy with this whole sport and thinking it's a recipe for disaster, vs being intrigued and grateful for this chance to really learn it and develop better-informed opinions. As of now the perfect wind range seems to max out just below where I'd plane windsurfing, so it's hitting that base I'd hoped for.

I'm finding it easier as a beginner to learn with a little more wind because it's so easy to pop up that way. I've tried the waist leash and foot leash for the board, and I think I like the waist better. I am at a point where I think the slick board and no straps is hindering me but I don't want to buy a board for this.
