Finally, some wind again. I drove to Sunset Lake on the advice of PKS because I guess that's where their wingfoilers go. It just looked...yucky. Even if I'd learn faster in flat water (which I'm not even convinced of), it's well worth the learning curve to not be in a stagnant mud hole. So I went to North Beach. A group of kite foilers had come from Wildcat, and I started out doing just awfully - falling a bunch and barely getting on the foil at all. A huge step backward from last time. I just kept going farther away in embarrassment, but they purposely rode to me later and every one of them came close and shouted encouragement. I appreciate that gesture.

And I don't know what was wrong with me for a little while, but I did end up getting it together and progressing.. I had just glued more deck padding to the board and it worked. Much more controlled feeling. By my last run I was up on the foil a good amount. The new foot placement is much better but maybe just took some getting used to.
